What do you think? I'll add some photos.

I just rescued a silkie and I am new to chickens I raised two road islands this spring from three days old who are extremely social and sassy they live outside. The silkie I have has some issues (definitely need help with that in another forum) I cleaned her beak with a washcloth gently and water not getting into the nostrils and then rubbed a little bit of raw organic coconut oil on it and her beak actually was cracked and fell off just tiny parts but no major damage and looks like the beak is staring to come back with a good blood supply

This could be Dry Pox, caused from a virus transmitted by mosquitoes. If so, it will heal on its own with no intervention in a few weeks.

Let's see if anyone else agrees with me.

As I've seen it, dry pox presents with obvious round spots that progress from gray to yellow to black sores. This doesn't seem to be the same, but then again, I've never had silkies, so I don't know what they are supposed to look like! They do seem a little 'dry' - it wouldn't hurt anything to apply some neosporin or vaseline. Wishing for the best! :fl

It is possible that it is a fungal infection called favus, but dry skin can be common as well. Favus usually looks like white chauky skin. Coconut oil may be a good start, but get some clotrimazole or miconazole cream to apply with gloves once a day if it seems more like favus. Here is a link about favus :
