Welcome to the Society to the Egg Breakers. There are many different skill levels. I have mastered two, the forgotten egg in the pocket and the cracking them on the nest box while gathering in a hurry. Shame you had to practice on one of your first precious ones.

i am dropping eggs left and right! I drop them because:
They get slippery when I wash them
I hold more than four eggs in each hand when collecting them (stupid, I know!)
My cat loves me to much and he bumps against my arm to hard
I trip
I forget I'm holding eggs and I scratch my back
And many others!
But, I've learned not to dwell on it and you will too!

Sounds like your hens lay alot of eggs!

I should have said cracking them open. I grew up on cracked eggs. If I had not grown up on the farm watching the good eggs leave for sale, I would have thought that was the way they should be.
