Hi all... I am not a breeder, just a hobbyist. I like to rotate my hens out every three years so I get eggs and hatch out newcomers. The sources of these eggs can be kind of random and are stories in their own way. I have recently moved to Brookfield hence the name Brookenfelders which is just me being silly... there is obviously no such bird, LOL.
The problem with hatching out eggs of course is the rooster population.. I can't have roosters here. On occasion I get a rooster that I feel might be worthy of someones breeding program... which is why I am posting this morning. I have a black ameraucana I suspect is gorgeous... just starting to try out his crowing so of course something needs to be done immediately.
Anyone interested? I will work on getting pictures but figured I'd get the thread started... maybe you Ameraucana folks can keep an eye on the thread and see what you think of him when I get some pictures. It has been snowing here... so I have to brace myself for trudging out into the snow. Hard to get the lighting right but I will try.
