My cubalaya hens have started to lay and lay at least 5-6 eggs per hen per week. Birds are 10 months old and eggs are small, but numerous! I know that the eggs come from these hens cause the cubalayas are separate from the other chickens. Is this number normal? Some sources say yes, some no (just "ornamental"). Also, do eggs get any bigger with age?

Yes that is normal for a Cubalaya hen, and the size will not get any bigger. They lay small - medium size eggs that are very nearly comparable to a bantam egg at times, especially if your hens originated from a hatchery.
