We have two Cuckoo Marans who look different...both were sold as pullets... however, now I am wondering...if they are or if Peck-adilly may be a mix?!?

The first four are of "Phoenix".

The next four are of our fluffy "Peck-adilly".

Thoughts on gender would be greatly appreciated!

I think Phoenix (more white, larger comb) may be a cockerel.
Peck-adilly looks like a Cuckoo Marans pullet to me.

All of the cuckoo or barred breeds tend to have darker females and lighter males, because of how the barring gene works: it's located on the sex chromosome, and a male gets two copies while a female only gets one.
