cuckoo maran eye

I have about a 3 mo old cuckoo maran(pullet) that I have introduced to the flock. On two seperate occasions other adult hens have pecked it's left eye and made it bleed. If it was not for me and my kids saving the chicken I think they would have killed it. This AM I caught my 2 isa b's on it, they were after the eye, I saw them roll it over to get to the left side and peck the eye, once again I rescued her. What and why is this going on?

could just be that she's low in the pecking order. are you sure your chickens have enough space? sometimes crowding can cause them to peck/attack other chickens. I would separate her for the others
