I have a Cuckoo Maran purchased from Mcmurray hatchery in March of 2016 as a 4 week-old chick. Never started laying last year, but was friendly and pretty quiet so kept it around. Just started crowing, may be a rooster after all - either way making too much noise for my backyard and needs a new home. Pictures can be sent on request, and i'll bring it to you if it's a reasonable distance - currently in the Kalamazoo area
