I'm so sorry about your hen. Are you going to see if you can determine what caused it? Can the vet do a necropsy?
I still don't know what's going on with Lexie, but after three days under a heatlamp and a warm bath, lubing her up, trying to find an egg in there, etc., her eyes are bright, comb and wattles very red. She isn't breathing as heavily, I think, but she isn't eating as much. I think the isolation was getting to her. Since today is a warmer day, I put her back out with the flock and will keep an eye on her. So, I'm not sure I'm out of the woods with her yet.
