I bought a cuckoo maran about a month ago, I'm not sure of the age but I'm guessing around three months. Today she (I think it was her, at least) made a really odd noise. Something like a demoic screech. Nothing like a usual call for snacks or egg song. She's been making more adult chicken like noises for the last week. And she's kind of fiesty, she has puffed up at my big grouchy Brahma a few times. I noticed her tail feathers are pointier, which I read can be a sign for a roo, but no crows yet or anything. Really hoping she's a pullet.
