Cuckoo maran rooster or pullet?

This was sold to me as a cuckoo maran. I'm pretty sure it is, but let me know if you think differently. My concern is it may be a rooster? The comb has developed pretty quickly in the last three days. Let me know what you think?

If she is pure cuckoo Marans (or pure cuckoo anything) then she is a girl. Males carry two copies of the barring gene, and they are much paler than the females because of it. The comb is not yet of a size to be significant.

So far, the dark plumage points to pullet.

perfect! thank you so much. I hated to handle her so much for a picture at this stage because she is pinning so heavily. but if it had been a rooster, I would have needed to start looking for a home asap, as I am in town. I also have never had any form of marans, so I wasn't sure of how the breed develops. thanks so much sylviethecochin and alexandra33.
