Cuckoo marans - cold hardy?

Hi!

I may be giving my cousin 4 hens and he lives in Pa. He says it gets really cold there in the winter and that he couldn't take my cuckoo maran because of that. Do any of you live up north and have this breed? How do they do? I don't want to give him the other 3 and leave her behind so any info you can give me would be appreciated. (The other 3 are buff orp, SLW, and EE. ) Thanks!!!

Watch their combs for frost bite...but mine are just fine!!

They do well in Canadian winters. Mine range year round without issue.

I live in central Kansas and it's get in the teens and down to zero frequently...not to mention the wind chill. I've had them for 6 years and they do fine.
