You....strangle them to death?
I prefer to think of it as putting them to sleep and I mention it as a bloodless option for pets. the meat birds OTOH get the kill cone and a slit to the throat.

That's still not an approved method of humane euthanasia...I prefer to think of it as putting them to sleep and I mention it as a bloodless option for pets. the meat birds OTOH get the kill cone and a slit to the throat.

It's pretty clear, you're squeezing them and they go to sleep, then die. So they're likely passing out from lack of blood to the brain, and then asphyxiating. The approved method of humane euthanasia without blood being spilled is to dislocate their head from their body, which you can do manually or with the aid of a stick/bar over the neck. Death by asphyxiation is not considered humane.hmm, perhaps you'd have to be around for exactly what i'm talking about, their eyes close and they fall asleep. it may not be technically approved but I feel it's humane, but I also don't want to claim perfection, I'm always open to improvement and input.
