* Used to live in Cali, and have had some experience w/ animal stress due to quakes-- Wondered how your hens are holding up. . .
 
Friday when the quake happened my dh said the hens went bizerk. He thought it might have been a predator but they calmed down after a few min.. The aftershock must not have gotten this far this am because there wasn't a peep.

Day before and day of, egg production off, but day after everything back to normal.Guess chickens are pretty smart.

I live approx. 20mi north of both epicenters, Fri and this am's. and I havent noticed any changes in my hen laying.
