Yesterday I noticed my 14 month old Barred Rock was standing on one foot. When I checked it out I found she had a number of cuts on the bottom of her foot and abrasions on the surface of the shank. It was swollen and warm to the touch. I soaked it in warm water to get off all the shavings etc stuck to the cut, sprayed it with bactine and put neosporin on it. I have her separate from the flock. She is broody now so she isn't eating very much. Her poops are normal.
This morning I hand fed her some scrambled egg and tomatoes. She didn't eat very much. Her leg is still swollen and warm to the touch put she is putting a little weight on it. I put more neosporin on it. What should I do? Bring her to a vet? Will she get better by herself?
