Dad wants me to get him a purple turkey?

Okay my Dad just found out that I have an incubator and he said that my Papa was getting these purple turkeys, has anybody heard of them? What breed are they?

Actually I was looking it up and that is what I thought too but then I Googled lit and the pics that came up weren't the same as the one that estes hatchery shows on their site.

Check out porter's. They have both lilacs and slates. You should be able to find what are looking for from them.

Your dad is probably thinking about lilacs. I do know the bronze turkeys can sometimes look purple in different light too...or even the black spanish. They are much like Jersey giants and australorps in the way that they shine.
