Hello! New to the group here. I have 3 ducks (Golden 300, Pekin and a Mallard) and 5 chickens (Americauna, Auracauna, Cuckoo Marans).

I have had my flock for 2 years. I feed my flock all-organic lettuce, watermelon and white corn, Along with lay mash and scratch.

Their eggs are pristine and I am working toward selling my eggs at the local farmers market.

All of the ducks and chickens are molting. We have had a rapid change in weather from 100 degrees to 75 during the day. All my birds have stopped egg laying for the past couple weeks. Normally they all lay daily. I believe they are going into their first rest after a year of daily egg laying. It seems odd but from what I have read this is very normal. I'm glad they are resting.
