I've got 2 eggs preparing to hatch and 22 that are halfway through incubation (yes, in the same incubator, yes I know I need a second incubator, it's not an option right now--). They are all in cardboard egg cartons and I accidentally over-filled the water trays so that water is seeping up and dampening the egg cartons. This should fix itself as the water evaporates out of the trays and eventually doesn't touch the cartons any longer but--in the meantime, is it going to cause my eggs any problems? I'd rather use styrofoam for this reason, but I didn't have any so this is what I'm dealing with.
Any thoughts? One of my two eggs is pipped, the other is not. I'd rather not open the bator any more than necessary, but if it's important I can take them out, put them in a new dry carton, drain the tray a bit, and put it all back together again. I just don't know if it's worth the trauma to the eggs just to dry out the cartons they're in... help??
Thanks!!!
