Dandelion with dirt clod 1-2 week old chicks?

I read where others are drying the dirt is that necessary? And dirt and dandelion are ok without the worm correct?

It’ll be great grit for them, and help build up immune systems. Worms may cause a chick stampede thought, good luck!

I don't see any reason to dry it, does anyone else? I'd want anything alive in it to remain alive to get the benefits of strengthening the immune system.

And dirt and dandelion are ok without the worm correct?

Personally I'd leave the worm but as Rosemary said, that's a personal preference.
