Do ducks get dandruff? I see little white flakes on the back of my duckling that don't appear to be attached because they wipe off fairly easily. She also is getting two little bald spots on ther wing elbows, is that normal? Could it just be that she's starting to get her feathers? She's about 3-4 weeks old.

Yep its normal , mine are the very same way right now 4 !/2 wks old...
ohh and The new feathers come in looking like wax coated quills. As they preen, the waxy coating flakes off and makes lots of dandruff looking flakes ....

That is funny. I have JUST recently posted about bare spots on the elbows and recieved an a okay as well. Just thought that was interesting. Mine has little feathers starting to make an appearance. They grow so fast!
