I will be putting my eggs in the incubator soon, should i close the curtains in the room?

I would close the curtains in the room and try to keep the incubator away from the window so as to help maintain the proper temperature. I keep mine downstairs (we have a finished basement) and the temp and humidity levels are great down there.
