There is a 5 year old (best guess) Muscovy drake at an animal sanctuary where I volunteer. Today I was told he has been lethargic a a few days. He has strange dark spots on his caruncles. Sorry for the picture quality as it was taken by another volunteer. I tried to crop and enlarge it. Since I have other poultry, including Muscovy ducks, I didn't want to go near it until the cause is determined.
Any help and suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

could someone check his skin for mites?
Is he the only drake, or could he possibly be being picked on by other males?

He is the only Muscovy drake They were re-arranging poultry to see who would get along in preparation for moving them into pens in the barn for the winter. Apparently didn't didn't go well trying him out with a goose.

He looks like he is molting, poor guy will be feeling under the weather.

I have a muscovy drake that is molting and got similar dark marks round the margins of his carruncles. I dont have a goose!

I am jeeping a close eye on my boy, but had assumed the black marks were related to his molt
