Darn Mallards!!!

Long story short...I bought rouens at TSC and they are mallards. 3 of the 4 are males. They flew off in late summer when the wild ducks hit the small lake at the edge of my property. A few weeks ago the 3 males reappeared. Yippee. They were all chummy with my 2 big male ducks in the barn. Now they are chasing the big ducks out of the barn. My big guys slept outside the last 2 nights.

Does anyone want some mallards

I like duck, but have never plucked one....what about skinning?

Some people the layer of fat below the skin is the best part.

Plucking isn't too bad, just lots of down.
