I went in to TSC for a bag of feed and left with a bag of feed and 6 bantam chicks. Could you help me identify them? I know nothing about bantams. They were all mixed in one tub and they had just arrived that day. Here's what we've got:

1. We have two that look like this:

One of these was a rescue as the other chicks were literally trying to peck it's wounded toe off. The toe looks good today! It has fuzzy feet.

2. We have one like this:

It has clean feet and it's face has lots of brown in it.

3. We have two like this:

They both have clean feet. One (the blurry one) has more yellow in it, while the one standing has much more brown in it.

4. Finally, we have one like this:

It has fuzzy feet and one foot has 5 toes. It also seems to have a bigger poof on it's head.

Could you all help a rookie out? Thanks!!!

I don't know but if you don't mind guesses then I will do so:

#1 black legs, black beak - silkie
#2 silver laced rock
#3 EE? (does it have greenish/grey legs?)
#4 ??? no clue
#5 Salmon Faverolles have 5 toes & feathered feet but your chicks feet look green so that may not be correct

Good Luck with your chickies!

number two is a golden sebright!

number 1 looks like a black silkie
and number 4 is a white silkie! (not salmon faverolles because they have yellow feet)

silkies have 5 toes!

Keep them coming guys!!

Here's a little more info, if it helps....

#1 has 5 toes (both of them do)
#3 legs are yellow with 4 toes (both of them)
#4 has 5 toes on one foot and 4 on the other. Is that unusual or a breed standard?

Thanks again for the replies. My kids help pick these 5 out and we are all really excited to see what they are going to look like!
