We are into day 1 (complete day at 3:30 PM) of incubation the temp has been between 99.5 and 100.0 degrees the humidity is around 40% - 45%. I have the LG incubator and the instruction say to pull a vent plug for more ventilation, but when I do that it seem the temp goes down a little and the humidty goes down as well. I filled the resivoir (sp?) with water this AM, the fan is working. Am I missing anything???

The the humidity and temp good?

Sounds like everything is good so far. As long as air is circulating then I don't think you need more ventilation.

As long as the humidity is fine then you can leave the plugs in. There should be plenty of ventilation holes for air circulation! Remove plugs to decrease humiditiy and put in plugs to increase humidity. Good luck with your hatch! I got a LG over the winter and I'm on my second hatch with it and haven't had any problems so far. My last hatch was 100%! I keep the humidity between 35 and 50 and increase it to 65-70 during hatch time. My temps hold between 99.5 and 100.5.

Since you have an LG, tell me how you get your water into the resivoirs?? I am trying to do it without lifting the turner, but that makes a big mess because I can see. How many times a day do you have to add water, I put water in this AM, full and got home and it looks as if it needs to be filled again.

mine was doing the same thing...i replaced one of the plugs, filled one of the wells and now my humidity and temp are holding steady...
