Day 13 on BQs

I'm on Day 13 with the BQs .. stopped turned, started upping humidity (they go at 16 days).

The incubator spiked to 104 today, with no real change in ambient temp ... would them getting ready to hatch possibly cause that?

Also, the eggs seen really light? Does that mean, I'll have no luck? They're so small and dark I had no luck trying to candle them. And there is no rocking and rolling.

I'm getting depressed and worried that I'll not have any hatch

Hi Holly...I have no answers for you on the Button Quail hatch but thought I would bump this up so someone else might see it...

I know with chicken eggs, the eggs DO get lighter closer to hatch, since the air cell is getting bigger. Also, I've read on other forums that the temps in the incubator will go up near hatch (not sure about that one, though?)

No idea on quail, but I'd imagine it would be similar. I wouldn't give up hope yet!
