Day 16 ... Don't see veins... Is this normal?

Hi my Silkie Eggs are on Day 16 in the incubator. When I candled the eggs I could Not see veins and the majority of the egg is very dark. I do see an air cell too. Is this normal?

Yes, that's normal. If the embryo dies it sinks to the narrow end of the egg and there's a clear, watery gap between it and the air cell. If your eggs are full and dark you'll be clucking over our cuties soon. Good luck!
