Day 17..Polish Egg...

Good morning everyone
So I’m on day 17, tomorrow is lockdown. Candled one to get a quick pic. Does this air cell look ok? Does it look ok overall? Humidity day 1-18 at 50% and then planning humidity to be 65% for lockdown. Thoughts are greatly appreciated. I am so stressed, worrying that the air cells are ok for lockdown!

Well... the air cell is fine, but what I'm concerned about is the bottom of the egg. It's not all the way dark like it should be. Is the chick moving? I'm wondering if your temperature was too low, if so It's going to take more days to hatch.

That’s what I was worried about...the temp. The chick is moving in there

It's going to take a few extra days to hatch. Before you do another hatch calibrate some thermometers to put in your incubator.

It’s weird because I had two calibrated thermometers in there and had it dead on at 99.5 the entire time. So tomorrow is day 18. Should I lock down tomorrow or would you wait an extra day or two to lock down?

I just candled two more eggs and they look the same. So they would all be the same

I'd wait 3 more days before going to lockdown if they were mine.
I like to set my temps at 99.7 or 99.8 because of the temperature fluctuations go a little above or below at times.
