Day 17and I need help!!!

Just got home from work and my incubator was partly open. Either my husband opened it at lunch to check the water and forgot to shut it or the dog somehow opened it and left it partially neatly open. The temp was 84. Do you think they still have a chance? I am just sick right now.

how far a long are they? Should be ok. You can candel them to see if there is movement. Colder is better than hotter. If there is movement your hatch time may just be delayed

Thanks for the help. I am a newbie and appreciate the help. The eggs are very dark and hard to see now, but I will try to candle them tonight.

dark eggs are hard to see in! Just give it up to 3 or 4 days after due date just to be safe.. I bet you will be ok just a late hatch. try to be patient. Just what ever happens do not do not try to help a chick out of the shell. Been there done that, not pretty
