i am using my homemade incubator and had a successful hatch before..and i made a new one and start incubating them again..i am now in the lockdown stage and it's already day 18 and only one is pipping the temperature range between 99.5-100.6..i place two large bowl of water inside the incubator for humidity but no movements still and i am planning to move them to the previous incubator where i had 100% hatch..will this be a problem for the hatching chick? actually i am not 100% sure the humidity level is okay since the incubator is made out of sealed insulated cardboard..

Some eggs don't PIP until day 20 or even 21 so could be early still. If the eggs have not pipped yet, you can move them to your other incubator. Make sure you warm it up first and make sure the temp and humidity is where it should be and move them VERY quickly as the humidity will escape. You can throw in in a damp paper towel when you open the new incubator to keep the humidity up. Were you able to see any internal pipping when you candled them? Good luck!:)

Have you candled? Do you have extra thermometers inside to make sure the temperature is accurate? If your chicks are late, it sounds like the temperature may have been a bit low.

two hatched out of 5..one died maybe on day 10 and well about the other two both of them no internal or external pip and i think they died too but when i candle the aircell was sland but i cannot find any movement ..i put them back into the incuabtor anyway..@nabiki do you think they'll hatch or have died in the late stage?
