So all the duck eggs were gathered and collected. I have 8 eggs and they were placed in the incubator with the automatic egg turner. I have been adding water when humidity level gets below 50%. I have candled them when I add water. So far all 8 seem to be fertile. Movement has been seen on day 12-14 ish. Very excited nervous and hoping I am doing everything correct. The next stage coming up is lock down. What if humidity drops during lockdown I DONT TOUCH. Any advise or suggestions? Thanks so much

When you last candled, did you mark your air cells? Are they looking good?
I usually wait until I have my first external pip to raise the humidity to 65 - 70% and this is done by increasing the surface area of water in the bator. If you have channels in the tray in your bator, fill the next one up. You can also put in wet sponges to increase the humidity. Do you have an independent calibrated hygrometer and thermometer for your incubator or are you relying on your incubator instruments?
Once the pipping stage begins, that is when you want to avoid opening the incubator as the loss of humidity is dramatic and you don't want to dry out your eggs, so get the humidity up with the first pip and then leave the eggs alone to hatch. Good luck! Keep posting to let us know how it's going. :fl
