I'm so excited and nervous I don't think I'm going to sleep much in the next few days. We have three broody bantams sitting on a total of 15 eggs. I've read that bantams can hatch anywhere from 19 to 21 days, so we could see some results on the first clutch anytime this weekend. The other two clutches aren't due for another 5 days or so.

I candled the eggs about a week ago and didn't see any clear ones. I've been sniffing the eggs every time the hens get off their nests (they must think I'm some kind of weirdo...oh, well. Good thing the neighbors can't see me). Nothing smelly. Other than those broody poops. Wow. Good thing the hens like to get far away from their nests before letting loose on one of those.

This has been the looooooooooooooongest three weeks of my life.

Best of luck for a great hatch, I'm sure your banties will make excellent Mammys.
