Day 19 and egg stopped rocking.

I apologize if this has been posted before. Last night (day 18) I had an egg, rocking all over the place, then today, nothing. Is the chick resting or is it dead? I hope s/he is taking a break for the big day. Newbie here and I need reassurance. Thank you.

Most likely resting. Don't sweat it...you know, I have never seen an egg rock with all my 3 hatches! I'm sure your baby is fine.

I have heard that they do that sometimes because at that late stage they can be to big in the shell for much movement. I'm sure it's probably ok.

Thank you for responding so quickly, ConservaChick and krstms. Something told me to peep/cluck through one of my vent holes and I could hear the sweet sound of a baby chicks chirping!! It shouldn't be long to hatch after you hear them right? I'm like a kid in a candy store!
