Well its day 19 for my broody hens clutch. This afternoon I found a chick on the floor of the coop with 1/2 of the shell still on it and some yoke around it;s vent. It was cool to the touch and slightly responsive to my touch. I put it back in the nest under the hen hoping for it to make it. ( I know it has a slim to none chance ) There was another egg starting to pip through the shell so there is still hope for the rest. Can anybody figure out what happened to this chick?
