I started 26 Brown Leghorn eggs in my new Farm Innovater Forced Air Incubator last night 3-30-13 at 6:30 pm. I Got up this morning before work and the temp was a little off so I decided to make a change to the thermostat before I was awake enough to realize I couldnt monitor the change I had made. So I called my lovely bride to see where my 4am temp adjustment had landed. She found the temp about 98 deg F. She adjusted the temp up and it landed at 98,5 deg F.after a couple of adjustments where it has been and will be until 6:30 pm this evening when I get home to readjust it.
That being said. Did I do any damage to my hatch by leaving the temp at 98.5 deg F for 13 or so hours on day 2 of incubation?

What is the perfect temp. I just got my incubator set up and it is holding at 98-99. I thought that was what I was aiming for

guys how do you manage to keep any incubator on a constant temperature
as long as i know any thermostat has cut in, cut out and differential
we cant keep the temperature constant there has to be a differential

There will be some difference but as long as the thermostat is working properly it will stay within 1 or 2 degrees. I can get mine that I just built with a foam cooler to hold between 2 degrees. It is the humidity I am having troubles controlling.
