Hi I'm on day 20 with 20 RIR xLeghorn eggs.. Should I see any signs of hatching yet? It's my first hatch and finding it all very fascinating and keep checking them ever 10 minutes haha can't help it I'm eager to meet them!

I'm day 19 and am doing the same thing.

Watched pot, I guess.

Just giving you a headsup from my sad experience of my last hatch! If you hear any peeping MAKE SURE they havent pipped on the bottom where you cant see it if you cant see they already have (if that makes any sense). I had almost all my eggs suffocate because I didnt see they had pipped and couldnt get out.... Oh and dont be afraid to open the bator if you need to help them!

Good luck!!

no pips I can see.. Im worried bout opening the incubator just yet as tomoro is the 21st day.. Some say they can see when the chick pips internally but then hear not to open bator at all..

If this is your first hatch, you have a thrilled couple days ahead of you. When my first chicks hatched in October, it was so exciting. They really peep so loud, you can hear them even with the bator closed. And they're so cute! My first one hatched out on day 19! Most of them, though, hatched within 2 or 3 hours of that first pip. Good luck!

Thankyou!! Yes it is my first hatching and I'm like a worried mother hen circling the bator!

Me too!

I should go to bed, but instead, I'm staring at my incubator, trying to decide if an egg is actually wiggling, or if I'm just deliriously tired. I'm leaning towards the latter.
