Last night one of the eggs started pipping and poking at the shell and since last night it’s been more than 7 hours and there’s just a small bit of progress since then. Another one started pipping too but we also haven’t seen movement coming from it. When is it time to help them out?

After 24 hours with no progress I usually do a quick candle and make a safety hole. The hatching process goes like this : they internally pip and sit for 2 to 24 hours, then they externally pip so they can breathe, they sit motionless for a long time (12-36 hours), then they make another pip next to the first one, they sit for a little while, and then suddenly they star zipping an are out in 20-30 minutes. Your's are in the pip and rest stage. Nothing to worry about until tomorrow IMO

Quick update! 5/6 of the eggs hatched! They’re 2 weeks old now and are all doing great!
