Day 20! They're PEEPING at MEEE!!!- UPDATE 13 babies!!!!

Okay heres the update!! 9 are out!!! 6 are pipped, I lost one, and the 17th egg is just sitting there.(seems the BCM are just not smart at getting out of their shell.) They all look a LOT alike with subtle differences even though they came from all different color eggs!!

So here's some pics!! They dont stand still and keep running towards the SHINEY camera!!

My Little Blue on the far right!! He's my fav so far because he's soo tiny! and he has these 2 little yellow stripes under his eyes!!

13 babies hatched!! When I set the eggs I told myself that as a first timer with my homemade bator that I would be okay if I got 8, Happy if 10 hatched, and just besides myself with 12(a 50% hatch rate!!) well I have 13!!!!!

and 2 more pips. (one I'm worried about. its at the bottom of the egg. same thing happened to the one that didnt make it. I can see him breathing(he's got himself about a dime size hole open..) are BCM's harder to hatch?!! all but 1 of my mutts are out so far, and that last one has a pip!)

Congrats on your hatch! I've been incubating chicken, guinnea, turkey and peafowl eggs for almost 20 years and it never gets boring. Every hatch is the thrill of my year! I hope your chicks hatch easily and healthy!
