I have 2 banties setting on banty eggs. Today was either day 21 or 22, depending how you count. Banty #1, Cleo, on 2 eggs, was due to hatch yesterday or today, and she has been a nest vigilanty, so no egg cooling, but when i candle, the air sack is intact, but not huge. About 1/4 of the egg, and they were already due to hatch.
Silkie mama, on 3 eggs, is due on Monday, and her egg air sacks are a bit larger than Cleo's.
What does this mean, if anything? Cleo is a Dutch bantam, so very small. Could it be that she is not as warm as Silkie Mama and the eggs will take longer?
Ive hatched tons of eggs with Silkies, Cochin banties, and regular full sized hens, but never a breed like Cleo.
Anh advice? Info?
