I put my hand under my broody and gently raised her breast up and took a peek.she is sitting on nine eggs.i seen one egg that was beginning to zip.its going to be a long day at work.

Why would she kill them.

Cause she might be stressed or if you touch them, she can smell your sent. Then she would kill the one with your sent. But then she would be bum baffled at what the heck she was sitting on and kill them.

Ok good but the hen can still kill the chicks because of confusion of what the heck they are.
