If there are no external pips you can try candling the eggs. Look for internal pips.

Why is it "your fault"?

Incubating eggs can be a little more tricky than we hope. My first incubation ever was a complete disaster. (I was incubating the eggs upside down, and none hatched!) But after more research and not giving up, we did better and started getting better hatches.

Sometimes the incubator is to blame. My old incubator was bad at holding temperature and the humidity sensor was off. Still managed to hatch some chicks, but there wasn't much better I could do without getting a different 'bator- which is what I did. And now I hatch chicks with about a 85% hatching success.

Ultimately, it can be a lot of trial and error... But with patience, it can be super rewarding.

I'd like to say: don't give up! But it is entirely your choice.

Well I actually have 6 replacements in the turner. I had to make a diy hatcher because it took a week to receive my eggs and i had already set the others. I think the hatcher is the culprit and me. I'm very adventurous anyway. Still gonna give it a go. I will try to candle again. But the eggs are so dark..They are marans and faverolles. the ones in the turner right now are faverolles.

I need a little more experience with figuring out air cells. With the marans (Blue) it was so hard to see anything and i was using my iphone flashlight the candler that came with my farm innovators isn't good at all. and all the eggs were shipped...IT's so expensive to get day old chicks from the hatcheries and the local farmers association will have no more chicks this season because of the viruses. The only roosters i have are Bantams (Phoenix, Old English Mills)
