they don't all wiggle before pipping.this is my first time incubating eggs. We're at day 21 and have two wiggling out of 13. I'm so worried we messed up some how. Do we still have any hope we'll be ok? I keep looking through the window of the incubator for little cracks and don't see any.
Yes all the eggs are fertilized. We originally had 19 but at day 10 only 13 were good. We candled them at day 18 and they looked fine, it was hard to see them since all the eggs are brown and light brown.our your eggs fertilized? if so, wait a while. it takes time for that first pip. the temperature may be too low, resulting in later hatch time. check out the temp.
Thanks I'll keep waiting. I'm just so anxious checking on them every 10 minutes and telling them to hurry up already lol!! My husband thinks I'm nutsthey don't all wiggle before pipping.give them some more time. most people will leave the incubator running to day 25 just in case their chicks are a little late. They still have plenty of time.
generally I put the low side of the aircell up, because that is usually the side they'll pip through (not always) but I wouldn't say it's wrong to put them in however you please. Is their a right or wrong way to place then once we remove the egg turner?
