So every other time all my eggs have hatched by day 21 in the incubator. This time we lost power for a few hours at day 17 and the temperature dropped to 75 degrees for like 2 hours before we got it back up. When we candelled the eggs before lock down, quite a few weren’t fully developed and we removed those. It’s day 22 now and I almost gave up hope for them as I’ve never waited this long and didn’t see any signs of life until an hour ago, I seen one pip! Is there still hope? I know the temperature dropped was drastic but I’m hoping for a few to have made it 😖 Could the drop just have delayed the eggs by a day or two?

The hen leaves the nest regularly so if it was only a few hours I’d think you’d get some to hatch, you may also want to check the actual temp of your incubator with an external thermometer (if you don’t have one already), a cold incubator can delay hatching by days. But if they are starting to pip that is a great sign, if a little late!
