Day 5 and I found my temp was too low; looking for input

Well....I set my eggs on Monday morning and thought I was in good shape:) temp wise until my thermometers all starting showing different readings:(. So I ordered a Brinsea Spot Check thermometer that arrived today and I found I was/had been running about 0.75-1 degree lower than the required temp for a forced air incubator.

That has been corrected, so my question is this---what effect will the low temp have on the eggs this early in the process?

Thanks in advance for any input.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about!! That's not bad at all. The incubator will vary a few degrees at times. If it's a 5 degree difference it will just extend your hatching time by a few hours. You're doing great, don't worry!

Since you corrected it so early during incubation, I don't think it will have any effect at all. Especially if it was only 1 degree (or less) off.

From what I've read, it'll just mean a few extra hours or maybe an extra day till pipping occurs. If it was just one degree below what it should have been I don't think it'll have harmed the embryos at all. My first try at incubation nobody pipped till late on in day 22 and I think it was because we were in the middle of a very cold snap at the time.

Good luck with them!
