So i just got my day old chicks from McMurry yesterday morning. 27 pullets, 10 Red rangers and 6 cornish rocks. All are doing well and look great. As expected from McMurrays.
My question is this: My lock Big R (similar to TSC) is getting 50 turkey in with their chicks this week. I am raising my pullets and meat birds separately. I was thinking of getting a couple of turkeys to raise for meat and raise them with my meat birds. Considering the fact that the turkeys need a higher protein, is this at all feasible or advisable? I dont have the turkeys yet, and wont get them if they have to be raised by themselves. Just wondering if its do able to have them together from the starts.
