Day Old Poults

Greetings, my Royal Palm had her first hatch yesterday (5). I’ve put food & water in their pen. Will mom teach them everything? Or do I need to help in any way? How long before the poults start eating & drinking? Should I supplement with electrolytes or probiotics?

You can add supplements to water for a few days if you like, the poults need a high protein feed supplied for them to eat like a turkey or game bird starter with 28% to 30% protien. The hen can do the rest. They will start to eat and drink within 1st 24 hours.
