Day old Quail

HI NEW to all this we have recently had a new bay quail egg hatch on tuesday morning just beforw 2am no other eggs were pipped so after 7 hours we placed him into under heated lamp seemed happy today seems alot more quiet are we doinh everything right worried? Do Baby Quails be sleepy? Dont want let little one down

We brought a pack with ehat lamp as well so any rwcommendations on quail food for chicl be grwat thanks

Whta kind of bedding? Feed needs at least 28 percent protein, I reccomend Manna Pro Gamebird Starter, use a grinder to make it smaller. Make sure the waterer has pillows in it to keep them from drowning, temp needs to be ~95 or a little more, watch the chicks though. There are a ton of articles on here for chick care.

Its dying hasnt opened eyes for few hours lay there and its nails are going red its so sad first eva chick feel like my fault bit we did all by the bool

Totally gutted 14 year old daughter has been so upset said to her gave thaf little chick lots love amd had lots love we can do it again but Il see we made our own brood brought a starter kit with heat lamp but if we do it again I want to buy a one as want it all right
