Last night I got outside a little later than normal. Halfway out I stopped in my tracks... looks like there's a gray bird on the ladder. Go closer and all 3 girls are roosting on the bar to the entrance to the hen house. Where's Delta?

Go around back and open the big door. He's roosting on the bare like a good boy! Shut myself in. Pick up each girl individually and put them up there. They huddle together. I give them a ll and pet and say good night. Get out and lock up.

This morning I was also running later than usual (plus this weekend I opened the hen house at 6am instead of 6:30am) and they were all waiting for me and came rushing out!

Before I opened the hen house to let the birds out i covered the cover seed i laid down. And to my delight some has sprouted!!

So we are at the end of the week. The birds are 7 weeks old today. Delta has been a great bird and has gone in and roosted at night all by himself. The last 2 nights Charlie has followed him. Blue and Echo still stop at the entrance and I have to lift one up there while shining a light and the other jumps up.

They are getting so big! Its great!

Oh, also, here is a picture of how that seed is doing growing in the run under a black tote. I love it! Idk how much longer ill let it go til I give them a taste. I'm definitely happy with the results. Its Friday morning and I laid the seed last Friday night.
