We have 17 chickens and 3 goats and they've never been dewormed. A while back I started mixing DE in with their food. They all seem very happy and healthy although we did lose a chicken last night so it got me thinking.

Is there a need to deworm on top of this?

Your thoughts?
Thanks!!

I thin TN does free necropsies on chickens:

Most clinical studies show a very limited response to diatomaceous earth in the control of internal parasites, though putting it into dust baths for chickens does help to control external parasites. If you are concerned, submit a fecal sample to your vet for analysis. That way you will not only know if you have a problem, but you will know which parasite(s) you are dealing with and can tailor the treatment appropriately.
