DE in brooder

Is it okay to put DE in the brooder to prevent mites and fleas? How about Sevin Dust is it safe for chicks? If not at what age can I begin using the DE and Sevin? My chicks are between one and four weeks old.

I think the DE is fine. I would use Sevin dust as needed, not as a prophylactic.
