DE in the coop

my birds are not fed in the coop and have only a hanging waterer. they sometimes gather in the coop during the day to lay around but for the most part are on the roosts or in the run. do you think the DE in the bedding needs to be food grade ? thanks

YES, I use FOOD GRADE not only in my chickens nests, coop and feed but also my guiana and my dogs, I use hay in the coop and put lots of DE everywhere in the coop, also put it where they dust bath, but it is FOOD GRADE ONLY Marrie
